Flash card upgrade/replacement ( tested on Cisco 1841)

  • The easiest way is copying files from old flash card to new flash card on PC,place new flash card into socket and start the router.

If we cannot do this like above we can do this directly on router with help of tftp server.

  • 1.Start router in rommon mode(if flash is completely blank router will start in this mode automatically).
